Today we’re going to show you how to install fonts or fonts on Mac . With them you can use new fonts in both macOS and any other program, something perfect to give a little more personality to the documents you write.
The process is going to be the next one. First we will explain very briefly how and from which web page you can download the sources. Then we will tell you what is the very simple process of installing these sources on Mac.
Installing fonts on Mac
The first step is to download the source you want to install . There are dozens of specialized pages where you can find them, but the most popular and largest with more than 30,000 different sources is Dafont.com . In this web you only have to click on the source that you like and click on the Download button .
Next, go with the Finder to the MacOS Downloads folder , where you will see the .zip file where the source is compressed. Double click on the zipand the operating system will compress it. When it does, a .otf file will appear in the folder, which is the source file.
Now you just have to double click on the .otf file of the source , and you will be opened a window where you will be previewed so you can see its appearance. This window, on the bottom right, has an Install Typefacebutton , and only by pressing it will your source be automatically installed.
When it is installed, you will open the MacOS Typographic Catalog directly , where you can see all the fonts, those installed on the computer and those that the user has uploaded. At the time you want you can right click on a font to deactivate or completely eliminate your typeface.
