But if you still owe money on your handset, you will have to go through the company’s unlocking procedure, which will require that your iPhone meet thefollowing guidelines: Devices must:

  • Not be reported lost or stolen
  • Not be involved with fraudulent activity
  • Have all service commitments and installment plans completed and all early termination fees paid in full
  • Not currently be active on a different AT&T customer’s account

 

How to Unlock iPhone 7 AT&T

Note: This guide will work only if you have paid the full price to AT&T for the purchase of your iPhone 7.

  • In order to unlock your iPhone, you need to first restore it using iTunes. Make sure to take a backup of your device before going ahead with the process.
  • If you haven’t yet set up your iPhone, then straight away go ahead with the steps mentioned below.

1Step #1: Unlock iPhone 7 AT&T

Connect iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus with iTunes on mac or PC: Unlock iPhone 7 AT&T, AT&T iPhone 7 Unlock

In the first step just  turn on your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus whichever you have. After that, you have to connect your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus to your Mac or Windows PC and then launch or open iTunes to move further to do Unlocking of iPhone 7 AT&T. Go to Step 2

2Step #2: Unlock iPhone 7 AT&T

Now you will be asked to enter your account zip code as well as the last four digits of the social security number (SSN). Just, enter the information and tap on continue to move further.

In this step, you will be prompted with the terms of service for both AT&T and Apple screen, make sure you read it and then tap or click on continue to move further.

4Step #4: Unlock iPhone 7 AT&T

AT&T will start activating your iPhone. “AT&T is currently activating your iPhone. Congratulations”. Click on Continue.After AT&T has activated the iPhone 7 it will be unlocked with a message stating “Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked” at the next screen.

Now, your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus is unlocked from AT&T network and you can use your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus with any SIM carrier without any problem:
