STEP #5: When you see the option to Restore or Update, choose Restore. iTunes will download software for your device. If it takes more than 15 minutes, your device will exit recovery mode and you’ll need to repeat steps 2 and 3

In a follow up email exchange, McAfee was asked if he stood by his claims that Cellebrite helped the FBI — or if he believed newer reports claiming the FBI was assisted by unnamed paid hackers. “The Washington Post’s source is wrong” says McAfee. “Do you think the hacking underworld has more information than them (Israeli cybersecurity companies)? The FBI knows this” added McAfee. McAfee would not name a source of his own, but went on to say “Rumors are also rampant that Apple did it for them (the FBI)
